I was commissioned to create this map of the distinct neighborhoods of downtown Boise. Yes, downtown has its own separate neighborhoods!
I used colorful chalk pastels and paint and layered fabric scraps, twine, and papers to delineate the downtown neighborhoods. The graphic branches in the background reference our “city of trees”.
This map is evolving, and has been framed and presented as a gift from the mayor to new downtown businesses.
