Signage for Ivywild Station
Byron W. Folwell created a large scale still-life installation of a “ghosted streetcar” next to a relocated historic electric railway station. The result is a plaza that is a beautiful and educational way for people to discover more about historic South Boise streetcars. This project won a national award from the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) and I was proud to be a small part of it.
I designed the sign layout for the three boards inside the station, and a give-away brochure. I picked a classic font from the era and a simple “wallpaper” of ivy for the background. The signs were made of durable porcelain enamel on steel by Mark Baltes.Close
